Repertoire

News: Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus, recordings of the Mozart concerto will be permitted without piano accompaniment. Furthermore, entrants submitting private recordings or home recordings will not be disadvantaged.

Application Video

The music video must be produced without retouching the sound.
This has to be validated through the unit manager by signing.
The music video should contain the following tracks:

1. Johann Sebastian Bach:

  • 3rd and 4th movement from one of the sonatas for solo violone: BWV 1001, BWV 1003 and BWV 1005
2. Niccolò Paganini:


  • 2 Capricci of: 24 Capricci for violin solo, op.1
3. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart:
  • 1st movement plus cadenza from one of the following concertos for violin and orchestra: KV 216, KV 218, KV 219

Competition

The competition consists of three rounds. The first two rounds will take place with piano accompaniment.
The finale will be accompanied by the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra.

First Round:
